What elements from your Dickinson experience had the biggest impact on your time in college?

Faculty and internships really changed my interpretation of Dickinson. I fully embraced that I would have to adapt to the cultural and educational differences from Houston, Texas, but Dickinson helped me not only learn more about my own local neighborhoods back home but also change them. I have held donations to send back to my high school and give books from a professor back home to make a course surrounding those textbooks.

What elements from your Dickinson experience had the biggest impact on your time in college?

By far the thing that had the biggest impact on my experience was the Dickinson College Mock Trial team. My life would not be the same without it. I joined the team on a whim my freshman year, and I'm so glad I did. Being a member of DCMT introduced me to the law and gave me the confidence I needed to finally decide that I want to become a lawyer. In my time in the club, I've developed incredibly strong public speaking skills, learned valuable career skills, become confident in myself, made life long friends and met my partner. I will forever be grateful to all of the wonderful people I met as a member of DCMT. If I hadn't joined DCMT, my Dickinson experience would not have been as great as it has been.
