I can't wait to be in law school and a practicing lawyer. 
 
What are some of the defining moments of your Dickinson experience?
 
Qualifying for Nationals with my Mock Trial team; Leo's ice cream with friends; Octals' concerts.
 
Internship Experience
 
Research assistant with the Department of Economics. We wrote a book chapter on how shocks in the developing world impact education. I read through multiple economic articles a day to understand the subject material and wrote literature reviews. Completed on Dickinson's campus over the summer.

My coursework in particular as well as the support of my professors has been instrumental to my success. I have developed critical thinking skills as well as quantitative and communication skills that will be fundamental in my career post-Dickinson.
 
What are you most anticipating about your career or post-graduate pursuits?
 
I’m extremely excited to begin my position at CornerStone Partners as I believe strongly in the mission of the firm, and I’m eager to do work that matters.
 
What are some of the defining moments of your Dickinson experience?
 
Becoming a writing tutor in the Norman Eberly Multilingual Writing Center. Joining Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity. 
 
Internship Experience
 
I was an analyst development program intern at Liberty Mutual Insurance in Boston where I completed two projects to analyze weaknesses in the online auto quote flow and bind funnel and found solutions to streamline the process for customers and improve overall auto online throughput (AOT). I utilized Excel, SAS, and Adobe Dashboards to build data visualizations, analyze data and come to conclusions that led to actionable recommendations for my team.

How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?
 
My experience building professional and personal relationships with my professors at Dickinson will help me a lot when it comes to building a similar relationship with my manager. While I will keep it as professional as it should be, I hope to become friends with them outside of work, have lunch, and participate in outdoor activities together. In terms of skills, while I am not a computer science major, I took an Intro to Programming course in Python in my second year at Dickinson and that will become helpful for my future project. My knowledge of economics will also be helping me in my business decision in the future.

How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?
 
As a student-athlete, my time at Dickinson has trained me in much more than just getting good grades in the classroom. My interpersonal skills have continually been challenged, the rigorous coursework, and cramped workdays have helped mold me into someone who, I hope, succeeds in the private sector. 
 
What are you most anticipating about your career or post-graduate pursuits?
 
Living on my own paycheck. Seeing the direct correlation between my hard work and my quality of life. 
 
What are some of the defining moments of your Dickinson experience?
 
The opportunity to have played for Dave Webster '88, head lacrosse coach, has been incredible. The impact that he, and the program he has established, is unquantifiable. It has been so much more than just being on a team.

I worked as a sales intern in IBM’s Summit Program in the summer of 2021. This was essentially a training program which developed understanding of the sales cycle, products & solutions, presentation and public speaking seminars, etc. It was highly beneficial for me and an incredible experience overall.

I was an intern at Citizens Financial Group in their commercial banking sector in Boston during the summer of 2021. I was a project management and underwriting and portfolio management intern. I helped with the coordination of the first-year analyst program as well as the summer internship program, gained industry knowledge of commercial banking, reviewed credit proposal summaries, conducted an industry overview, and gave presentations to both interns and executives. I also was the peer lead intern, so I supported 27 interns and acted a resource for them during their internship.

  • Co-developed and submitted a technical proposal to UNDP on collecting baseline data on YouthConnekt and IAccelerator beneficiaries.
  • Developed and submitted a technical proposal to SNV on conducting a study of the city’s informal economy and develop an action plan to improve the business environment.
  • Conducted research on Rwanda’s Sustainable Development Goals in order to understand the countries’ progress and presented my findings to the Vanguard team during a weekly team learning session.
