2024 Baird Sustainability Felllow

Kailey Sipe, Environmental Science Major

Kailey Sipe ’25 is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania working towards a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with an Ethics minor. Kailey’s research on climate resilience and its impact on infrastructure, utilities, and grounds at Dickinson CollBaird Sustainability Fellow Kailey Sipeege conducted as part of the Baird Honors Practicum, earned her and the other Baird Fellows recognition as 2025 Campus Sustainability Champions, awarded by the Pennsylvania Environmental Resource Consortium (PERC).

On campus, Kailey pursued her passion for environmental advocacy through her role as a Watershed Coordinator at the Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring (ALLARM),  where she specialized in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data. She also contributed to environmental health research as a DANA Research Assistant in the Environmental Science department and served on the Environmental Science Majors Committee.

Upon graduating from Dickinson College, Kailey will be pursuing her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) at The West Virginia University College of Law, diving deeper into environmental law. She envisions a future where legal and environmental advocacy come together to play a crucial role in advancing environmental injustices. She is grateful for her time in the Baird Honors Practicum, which provided her with the knowledge and confidence to take this next step.
