Olivia Termini, Environmental Studies and Classical Studies Majors

Baird Sustainability Fellow

BAIRD E-PORTFOLIO

Olivia Termini is a double classical studies and environmental studies major from Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. A recruit for the Varsity Women's Soccer team, she came to Dickinson for its reputation in sustainability and a liberal arts education. Choosing what some would call an unlikely pair of majors, Termini has studied both the origins of western civilization and the contemporary challenges of a society with unlimited resources. She supplemented her education with experiences across sectors outside the classroom, including two federal internships at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Senate, nonprofit work with grassroots organization ACT4Oxford, and private sector work with Countable coordinating activism campaigns. She also studied abroad in Bath, UK and completed a Latin tutorial at Oxford University and currently serves as the Dickinson Carlisle Borough Ambassador.

On campus, Termini can be found at Dpark on the soccer field, engaging with local stakeholders either for her community-based research or service work as a Montgomery Service Leader and member of Alpha Phi Omega national service fraternity, or studying Latin in the Classical Studies department. In her free time, if she has any, she loves singing and exploring new places, both in the natural and built environment.
