Dan McColley, International Studies Major and Economics and Spanish Minors

Baird Sustainability Fellow

BAIRD E-PORTFOLIO

Dan McColley is an International Studies major, concentrating in Globalization and Sustainability along with a double minor in Economics and Spanish. Throughout his Dickinson career, he developed a deep understanding of the application of sustainability through systems thinking and supply chain networks as a student and intern for the Center for Sustainability Education.

During the fall of his junior year, Dan studied abroad at CEDEI in Cuenca, Ecuador, and UNCUYO, in Mendoza, Argentina focusing on sustainability studies. Within this semester, he assisted in the development of COREME, an Argentinian recycling initiative and studied natural resource conservation within the university.

Throughout the past two summers, Dan has had the opportunity to work for SVT, a supply chain management company in which he was able to promote sustainability at an organizational level and has advanced his job development and critical thinking skills. He is grateful and excited to have the opportunity as a Baird Sustainability Fellow to engage with Dickinsonians of various sustainability interests in order to gain a deeper comprehension of sustainability.
