Rorie CochraneAs a 2026 Dickinson graduate and your admissions associate, I’m so excited to connect with you about Dickinson and all it has to offer! The college search can feel overwhelming, so I hope I can be a resource as you navigate this exciting process.

A Little About Me

I’m originally from Bow, N.H., and, more importantly, a proud Dickinsonian! I graduated with a B.A. in history and sociology and a minor in music. I first fell in love with Dickinson when I visited campus during my senior spring of high school. I immediately noticed the strong sense of community and how much the students, faculty and staff cared about one another—even caring about me as a prospective student! That community—along with Dickinson’s liberal arts education, small size and incredible study abroad opportunities—made my decision an easy one.

As a student at Dickinson, I was deeply involved in the music community. I sang in the College Choir and served as president of the Syrens, Dickinson’s all-female a cappella group. I also spent plenty of time in the Waidner admissions house, where I worked as an admissions fellow and had the chance to help prospective students learn more about the college I loved. Now, I’m thrilled to be back in the admissions office as an admissions associate!

As a Dickinson alumna, I know firsthand how special this community is, and I’m excited to help you discover whether Dickinson might be the right fit for you, too. I’m always happy to answer questions, share my experiences and help make the college search process feel a little less overwhelming!

A Few Fun Facts

  • Favorite place on campus: The Academic Quad on a beautiful day! I love studying outside, relaxing with friends or grabbing a bite from Farm Works.
  • Favorite places in Carlisle: Whistlestop Bookshop and Massey’s!
  • Favorite Dickinson tradition: Cafsgiving! Dickinson has so many traditions centered on food, but Cafsgiving is one of my favorites. It’s a chance to enjoy an incredible meal prepared by our dining staff while spending time with friends and celebrating the Dickinson community.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions and I look forward to hearing from you!
