Ashley Trump Admissions CounselorAbout Me

As assistant director of international admissions, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with students from all over the world eager to learn in an interdisciplinary context and experience a liberal-arts education. Although I have moved around the U.S. and the world for work and study, I happily call Central Pennsylvania my home. I grew up only 30 minutes from Dickinson! I currently live in Carlisle with my two cats, Sabrina and Casper, and my two lizards, Xander and Ollie.

I received my BA from Arcadia University in international studies and attended Drexel University for my MS in education. I had the experience of studying abroad in high school, college and graduate school. From my international experiences as a student, I began my career in international education as a TESOL-certified English teacher for students ranging in ages from PreK-12. I worked in Thailand, Japan and the U.S. before transitioning into higher education. I have worked for various higher ed institutions with both domestic and international students studying abroad all over the world. I love working with passionate students from around the globe and helping them learn their respective fields through new cultural lenses.

Why Dickinson

Dickinson is a very warm and welcoming environment where students are encouraged to explore their passions as well as be open to new things. I love the interdisciplinary approach of liberal-arts colleges. I appreciate the connections made between classes in fields that feel worlds apart. I, too, attended a liberal-arts institution and haven’t looked back. Students go on from Dickinson to become globally engaged and aware citizens making an impact on their communities and beyond.

There is so much to learn about Dickinson, and my hope is that I can be a resource to you throughout your college search.
