Dickinson has taught me how to be a fearless leader by asking good questions, actively listening and keeping an open mind. Dickinson has not only taught me invaluable hard and critical thinking skills that I can apply to any line of work and/or study but also, and perhaps more important, the soft skills that I can use to effectively communicate with others. I've learned many crucial life lessons throughout my past four years at Dickinson, and I feel confident that I will be able to act on my curiosities and make a positive impact in the world as a result. What are you most anticipating about your career or post-graduate pursuits?
I am looking forward to learning all about public health and more specifically maternal and children's health. I am eager to continue building on the skills I have gained at Dickinson through research opportunities to make a positive contribution to the field of public health. I am thrilled to be living in NYC for the next two years, where I will be surrounded by limitless opportunities and connections.

Being a member of the Women's Golf Team! Being a tour guide and meeting perspective students was also a great experience.

I interned with the Cumberland County Court House as well as with Dining Services - duties varied but both locations were in Carlisle. I worked primarily with data and understanding existing precedents.

How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?
Dickinson has taught me how to learn, think critically, and that I don’t know what I don’t know. Between classes, working at various campus offices, club leadership roles, internships and studying abroad in two countries, I have seen how learning does not stop once you leave the classroom. Each of my experiences has contributed to who I am today, and Dickinson has prepared me with the curiosity to keep exploring.
What are you most anticipating about your career or post-graduate pursuits?
I am most anticipating learning even more about myself. I am preparing to understand more about my interests and how the topics I was drawn to in college will apply to how I spend my time post-graduation.
