How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?

Dickinson has prepared me for a successful life after graduation in several ways. The academic rigor at Dickinson has equipped me with a solid foundation in environmental science and biology. The science courses, labs and professors were the reasons why I wanted to enter into the field in the first place. The real-world experience I gained from hands-on field biology labs do not compare to anything I could have learned from a textbook. The liberal arts education also allowed me to develop critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills that will benefit me in my future endeavors following graduation. Dickinson has also contributed toward my personal growth and development through the ability to take on leadership roles in extracurriculars, which I did through club sports. The Career Center has been an amazing resource and has supported me in exploring career options, building a resume and cover letter and preparing for postgraduate life.
