The Winter’s Tale by William Shakespeare
Mathers Theatre, Holland Union Building
$7, or $5 with student ID
One of Shakespeare’s later plays, The Winter’s Tale begins in a world of jealousy, false accusation and suspicion and ends—16 years later!—with one of Shakespeare’s most joyous, hopeful endings. An intriguing story of mistakes, contrition and forgiveness, The Winter’s Tale contains some of the most beautiful, affirmative and challenging writing in the Shakespearean canon. One of the most beloved plays of its time, it is a meditation on the healing power of time.
