Jillian Mann
I have gained skills and real-world experience for a meaningful career. My majors in ENST and physics have prepared me for graduate school in sustainable engineering, so that I can make a difference in climate change mitigation and adaptation. Through internships and experiential learning in course, I have gained many skills for a meaningful career. I would not have found the success that I have been able to in the last four years without the support of Dickinson.
Internship experience:
- Center for Sustainability Education, Dickinson College - communication and outreach intern, Eco-Reps coordinator and campaign and events coordinator
Brie Farrell
During my time at Dickinson, the most impactful part of my experience was the people I met and learned from. Through my classes and everyday life, I was exposed to perspectives, cultures and ways of living that were completely new to me. Being surrounded by people from different backgrounds pushed me to think more openly and see beyond my own experiences. That is something I never could have imagined before coming to college. I will carry these experiences with me as I move forward, and they have shaped me into someone who feels ready to take on life outside of Dickinson.

Reed Stone
Dickinson showed me not to be afraid to get your hands dirty, both metaphorically and literally. Taking the extra step can have the biggest payoffs, and even if it's not the easiest thing to do, when things are said and done, you want to be satisfied with what you've done. Dickinson helped show me that I am way more capable of doing things than I imagined entering college. I'm grateful for the opportunities and support available from the Dickinson community, which has pushed me to grow individually and support others in return.
