I have gained skills and real world experience for a meaningful career. Through internships and experiential learning in courses, I have gained many skills for a meaningful career. I would not have found the success that I have been able to in the last four years without the support of Dickinson.

Dickinson has been truly beneficial in many ways for preparing me for life after graduation. I have not only learned so much in my major about the rapidly changing climate but also a wide array of other topics, giving me a broader view of the world around me. I was able to take courses within the international business field, the German field and many more, encouraging me to learn more about a topic from many different view points. I have also learned invaluable interpersonal skill, such as advocating for myself, patience, clear communication, as well as time management and organization, that I will be able to carry with my into my future endevors.

The most impactful element, or rather collection of elements, were the meaningful relationships I was able to foster with my professors and advisors. The small class sizes and dedicated staff gave me the ability to build a rapport with so many of my mentors who have shaped the way I think, seek out opportunities and speak to myself.

What elements from your Dickinson experience had the biggest impact on your time in college?

The most important skills I've gained from Dickinson was use of my critical thinking skills and awareness of other perspectives. I think a lot of the work I did in my major was useful to the field I'm going into, and even the classes I took outside of my department benefited me in some way. The small school and "everybody knows everybody" environment also fostered growth of social and emotional skills that I will carry for the rest of my life.

The ability to study abroad really allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone and meet many mentors and friends that have had an immense impact on my life. Additionally, the ability to be a part of collegiate athletics at Dickinson helped me grow as a leader, an individual and a teammate and provided me with the biggest support system, which I am eternally grateful for.
