Dickinson, through its immersive liberal arts curriculum and highly respected faculty in my QECON curriculum, has enabled me to pursue the career of my dreams in strategy consulting. Additionally, the connections to alumni who are leaders in industry and the friends I have made through unique Dickinson experiences (fraternities, societies, the Burgess Institute) will provide a lifetime of value.

What elements from your Dickinson experience had the biggest impact on your time in college?
My most influential experience has been serving at Student Senate president. I have had meaningful discussions with all different types of Dickinsonians and learned so much about the college. Being involved in many aspects of student life has broadened my horizons and taught me what it means to step out of my comfort zone. I hope to remain connected to Dickinson for the rest of my life.

How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?
Dickinson has prepared me for life after graduation by pushing me to navigate ambiguity, take on responsibility early and engage with diverse perspectives. Through leadership roles, academic rigor and professional experiences, I have learned how to think critically, communicate effectively and adapt in high-pressure environments. Just as importantly, Dickinson has emphasized global citizenship, encouraging me to approach complex challenges with curiosity, empathy and a willingness to keep learning.

What elements from your Dickinson experience had the biggest impact on your time in college?
The first was starting the Dickinson badminton club. What began as a small idea turned into building and leading a community of over 50 members. I handled everything from organizing practices and managing logistics to budgeting and recruiting new members. That experience taught me how to take initiative from scratch, stay consistent and build something that people genuinely care about. It also pushed me to step into leadership in a very real way, where people relied on me to create structure and keep things running.
The second was building and working on my startup, Sarva. It pushed me to apply what I was learning in finance and data analytics to real problems. I worked on financial models, analyzed user and vendor data and made decisions in fast moving, uncertain situations. It taught me how to think strategically, move quickly and take ownership without waiting for direction.
Together, these experiences shaped how I approach challenges. Starting the badminton club taught me how to lead and build community, while Sarva taught me how to operate in high-pressure, real-world environments.

I've developed the ability to take the initiative, and holding different executive positions in campus organizations has helped me grow as a leader.

What elements from your Dickinson experience had the biggest impact on your time in college?
My professors had the biggest impact on me by far. I loved the economics department, because you could tell through teaching and conversation how much my professors not only cared about the topics they were teaching but how their students learned. They work along side you, not against you, and they help in any way they can. They create the community not just inside the classroom but outside as well.

Dickinson showed me not to be afraid to get your hands dirty, both metaphorically and literally. Taking the extra step can have the biggest payoffs, and even if it's not the easiest thing to do, when things are said and done, you want to be satisfied with what you've done. Dickinson helped show me that I am way more capable of doing things than I imagined entering college. I'm grateful for the opportunities and support available from the Dickinson community, which has pushed me to grow individually and support others in return.
