How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?

The robustly engaging curriculum and interpersonal relationships facilitated by the Department of Psychology have most certainly prepared me for life after graduation. Never in my life have I been more excited to be learning material for class, in that it is actively applied to every facet of life beyond school. My professors, those that I have done research with or TAed for in particular, have given me experience with maintaining professional yet collaborative relationships with superiors, in which I have been able to learn from them as mentors yet simultaneously be treated like an intellectual that can meaningfully contribute to our shared goals. Most importantly, I've been gifted a sense of relentless curiosity about discovering new knowledge that can help further our understanding of human connection and cognition.

Dickinson helped prepare me in a professional, academic, and personal sense for the next step in my life.
