Sophie Walsh

Graduate School: University of Brighton
Field of study: MSc in geographic information systems and environmental management

How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?

I feel more prepared than I ever expected to start the rest of my life after graduation and owe a lot of it to my Dickinson education. The opportunity to study abroad and to choose courses outside of my major allowed me to gain a lot of technical skills and find my own niche interests and passions. The ability to work in the GIS lab during the week on a large project has given me credible skills to put on my resume and prepare myself for graduate school.
