How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?
I think that Dickinson has given me a multidimensional education. As a neuroscience and psychology major, the kind of scientific research I do and want to pursue are interdisciplinary, and I really appreciate how Dickinson fosters a liberal arts view on all sectors.

I believe that my experience doing cancer research and the advanced-level biology classes did an amazing job in preparing me for my life after graduation.

What elements from your Dickinson experience had the biggest impact on your time in college?
I would say the two biggest elements that had an impact on my time at Dickinson were the community I found and the opportunities I had. Dickinson allowed me to build a strong community not only within my major in neuroscience but also through my roles as a Resident Advisor, my involvement in Student Senate and my time in the CCLA.
Because of the school's small environment, I was able to meet a wide variety of people and build close, meaningful relationships. These connections made my experience more personal and allowed me to feel supported in different areas of my life.
Furthermore, Dickinson gave me access to so many different opportunities that all felt within reach. Being able to get involved in multiple spaces helped me feel connected not only to the campus itself but also gave me valuable experiences that have shaped my personal and professional growth.

The liberal arts environment of small class sizes and a heavy focus on discussion has prepared me well for entering a Ph.D. program and for competently discussing complex topics.
