How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?

Dickinson has prepared me for life after graduation by providing an incredibly well-rounded education that has allowed me to grow in many different directions while still completing my academic goals. I had three goals for my time at Dickinson: to play college volleyball, study political science and study abroad in France. I am proud to say that I completed all of these, and they have allowed me to fully become who I am and recognize my academic and interests. With these internships, I have gained workplace skills, and both times my employers commented about how it was an immediate green flag when they saw Dickinson on my resume. Dickinson lifts you up and provides you with skills to make a difference wherever life takes you.

I feel this experience has instilled me with confidence and comfortability in my communication skills. Through the small class sizes, encouraged office hours and discussion-based lecture styles, I was able to hone the art of effectively communicating my questions, opinions and arguments.
