Men’s team will take on Christopher Newport University on Saturday afternoon

With a dominant win over the John Carroll University Blue Streaks (19-3) and a squeaker over the Ducks of Stevens Institute of Technology (12-10) this past weekend, Dickinson’s men’s lacrosse team advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament.

With just eight teams remaining, the No. 4 ranked Red Devils (17-3) will now go for a win in a rematch against the No. 2 ranked Captains of Christopher Newport University (18-2) on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Salisbury, Maryland, on the campus of Salisbury University. The Red Devils and Captains met earlier this season at the Mustang Classic, with Christopher Newport University pulling off a tight 13-12 win over the Red Devils.

On Sunday, May 14, the Red Devils were down 9-8 with six minutes remaining on the clock vs. Stevens when James Isaacson ’24 (international business & management), Charlie Baughan ’26 (quantitative economicsdata analytics) and Skyler Schluter ’23 (economics) scored four goals in less than two minutes to claim a 12-10 win at Biddle Field.

The win marked a big one for Head Coach David Webster ’88: It was the 300th victory in his coaching career, bringing his record to 300-178. Webster is in his 21st season and is 253-108 as the coach of his alma mater.

Saturday's game will be livestreamed.
