One of the important things I learned at Dickinson is to constantly ask questions. I fully acknowledge that I will not know every solution to a problem that comes my way. However, I am certain that with time and with the proper questions asked, I can find an answer. I believe this is essential because I am starting a chapter of my life full of unknowns.

How has Dickinson prepared you for the future?

Dickinson has given me the skills and confidence to be successful. Dickinson has given me an incredible experience and has guided me through failure and success to ensure that I am best equipped to face the real world.

Internship Experience

During the summer of 2017, I was a sales and customer service representative for Headfirst Summer Camps based in Washington, D.C. There, I served as the central point of contact for prospective and returning camper families. While customer service definitely tested my patience from time to time, it was an incredible learning experience that has helped prepare me for the future.

What are you most anticipating about your future?

I am excited for the opportunity to be on my own and make money for myself. I want to be part of a company that is progressing and gives me room to grow both within the company and as a person. I feel that out of all the companies that I have looked at, it is TEKsystems that will give me the best opportunity.

What are some of the defining moments of your Dickinson experience?

Too many to think about. My entire four years here have been defining to me. Each and every day has presented me with challenges and opportunity, and I am forever grateful that Dickinson has been there to teach and guide me along the way.

eTemp LLC, Morristown, New Jersey, June-August 2016 & June-August 2017: Created a new workflow system for the employees in the company’s CRM program; worked with the CEO to develop an onboarding manual for new employees; aided in sales and operations support and built process mapping and flow for client support and internal operations.

What are some of the defining moments of your Dickinson experience?

My experience helping to develop the Hive with another student and a faculty member, working to get all of the approvals from the Space Planning Committee, ensure funding and getting approval from the Carlisle Borough. Seeing our idea become a physical part of campus was a quintessential Dickinson experience.
