Planetarium & Observatory
Charles M. Kanev Planetarium
We must have a 10-day advance notice when booking shows. The planetarium seats 64 people and is located at 343 West Louther Street, Carlisle PA in the Rector Science Complex (Tome Hall entrance). Planetarium shows are free but you must have at least 15 people to run a show. Shows run about 30-40 minutes. Feel free to come with questions to ask after the show. Students are available to run shows from now until May 3rd on:
Mondays 10am-Noon
Mondays & Wednesdays 7-9pm
Mondays through Fridays 3-4:30pm
Tuesdays & Fridays 7-8pm
Wednesdays 11am-5pm
Thursdays 3:30-8pm
Fridays 10am-Noon
Fridays & Sundays Noon-4pm
Please note: Planetarium shows are run by our students so we cannot offer shows when students aren't on campus. We offer shows from now until May 3rd (when classes end). We will start running planetarium shows again starting in September 2024. We do not book summer shows.

Students will run shows throughout the semester that will be open for anyone to attend. Check back here often for show dates & times.
