Admitted-student programs bring students accepted to the class of 2025 to campus throughout the month of April

Students admitted to Dickinson’s class of 2025 have a big month ahead of them—April is that critical time when they must make the final decision of whether or not to enroll. Students have until May 1 to make their final college choices, so to help them along the way, Dickinson launched a series of on-campus and virtual admitted-student programs.

On Friday, April 2, and Saturday, April 3, the first two Decision Dickinson: A Day on Campus events kicked off in Carlisle, welcoming 76 students from 12 states. Recognizing that many accepted and enrolled students did not have the important opportunity to explore Dickinson in person during the past year, the admissions visit team set up three event tents on campus so visiting families and Dickinson community members could adhere to state guidance while also celebrating the class of 2025.

“Dickinson's commitment to community, and the emphasis we place on personal relationships, meant that our visit team was going to go above and beyond to find ways to bring accepted and enrolled students to campus this spring event,” says Molly Boegel, assistant vice president for enrollment and director of admissions programs & services.

The events include self-guided tours of campus, with tour guides stationed at key areas to answer questions and provide commentary. Visitors are also encouraged to take advantage of the Mermaid-Guided Tour, which provides QR codes on more than 18 campus spaces that can be scanned for real-time access to multimedia content. The more structured part of the day includes a welcome from admissions counselors and student and faculty panels, ensuring that visitors have access to members of the Dickinson community and ample opportunities to ask questions.

“It's important to us to show students this place and to help them make great, informed, thoughtful decisions about the next step,” adds Boegel. “We couldn't be more proud to show and share Dickinson—its campus, its community—with members of the class of 2025.”

The Decision Dickinson: A Day on Campus programs will be offered Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings through May 1. Accepted students can register in their Application Portals. Note too that campus tours are available throughout the week, and a variety of virtual programs are ongoing, including the Accepted Student Virtual Discovery Day on Saturday, April 17.
