We look forward to welcoming you to campus! Please find the itinerary for your visit below, and review our Campus Visit Guidelines.

Your time on our campus will be spent outdoors and in visitor tents. Please dress accordingly and bring your own water bottle. Restrooms and a water-bottle filling station will be available at the Waidner Admissions House (map #53) for the duration of the program and at the Marc & Eva Stern Foundation Center for Global Education (map #5) from 12:30 - 3 p.m. on Fridays and 9:30 a.m. - noon on Saturdays.

Before you come to campus, we encourage you to explore downtown Carlisle. Order from a local restaurant, taking advantage of the variety of curbside pickup options available, and enjoy lunch in a red Adirondack chair! (We recommend you contact the restaurant in advance to confirm hours and dining options.)

Hybrid Campus Tour Experience

For many of us, the past year could be best described as hybrid: a mix of virtual and in person experiences. In the spirit of a hybrid year (and to safely accommodate all visitors) we’ve created a hybrid campus tour experience. Part Mermaid (self-guided experience utilizing QR codes), part Liberty Cap (traditional student-led campus tour), enjoy a self-guided tour with stations across campus staffed by student tour guides. Choose your own tour adventure, go at your own pace and get to know Dickinson students through this interactive experience.

The hybrid campus tour is outdoor only and will be available during the hour and a half prior to the Welcome and Opening Remarks and for an hour and a half following the program close. Grab a program map from our registration tables or the front vestibule of the Waidner Admissions House (map #53).

Distinctively Dickinson Sessions

You’re preparing for the next four years, and we know you have at least a few questions! Our community of students and faculty are eager to help answer these questions as they share stories and examples from their own experience at Dickinson.

  • Learning Here: Dickinson Faculty Panel  Dickinson students’ professors are not just teachers, they are mentors who remain in your life beyond your college years. Take advantage of this opportunity to hear from faculty members as they reflect on the distinctive elements—in various majors and broadly—of a Dickinson education.
  • Living Here: Dickinson Student Q&A  Who is the Dickinson student? What is it like to live here? What makes Carlisle feel like home? Join this student life session to hear more about campus life and the student experience from the people who are living it! Come with your questions and leave with a clearer picture of what it means to be a Dickinsonian.
