This spring, Dickinson celebrated the accomplished and resilient class of 2024, welcoming an impressive group of Dickinsonians into the alumni community. In June, more than 1,400 alumni came to Carlisle to reconnect with friends at Alumni Weekend. And this fall, we will welcome more than 600 future alumni to campus as members of the class of 2028. Together, we are a dynamic community of more than 30,000 individuals, connected by our Dickinson experience.
Over the past year, the Alumni Council has worked with Dickinson staff to create meaningful opportunities for alumni to:
We organized our work around these three objectives, with an emphasis on creating tangible opportunities to drive engagement and build momentum. We have tried to make the most of our time on campus and fully utilize the incredible new John M. Paz ’78 Alumni & Family Center.
With the help of the staff and many alumni volunteers, we were able to support networking and career coaching events for students and expand the active network of alumni seeking to support faculty in the classroom and recent graduates in their career explorations. We also supported events for prospective students during Accepted Student Weekend, engaging with future Dickinsonians and their families as they made their college decisions. We capped off an active year by celebrating the accomplishments and contributions of our community with the presentation of the annual Alumni Leadership Awards during Alumni Weekend.
As President Jones has said, Dickinson is on the move. We are grateful to all of you who contribute your time and effort to moving the college forward at this important moment and strengthening the broader Dickinson community. We look forward to another active year and encourage you to join us. You can find opportunities at dickinson.edu/volunteer and sign up through the Volunteer Interest Form.
