Annual event helps the community learn more about making a difference in the world through a more sustainable lifestyle

by Tony Moore

Dickinson will host its annual Sustainability Expo on Friday, March 31, from noon to 2 p.m. in the Holland Union Building Social Hall. The event will celebrate the college's commitment to sustainability and provide students, faculty, staff and the Carlisle community with an opportunity to learn more about sustainable living.

The expo will feature a variety of interactive exhibits, games and activities, as well as information about sustainable initiatives on campus and in the community. There will also be a chance to meet with representatives from local organizations working to promote sustainability. Through its partnerships with local organizations, businesses, clubs, nonprofits and centers, Dickinson hopes to engage the Carlisle community in discussions about sustainability and how it relates to people, prosperity and the planet.

This celebration will also kick off the 2023 Campus EcoChallenge, which will be held April 3-21. The online behavior-centered challenge will allow Dickinsonians to make commitments and changes to their daily lives for a chance to win great prizes. The platform is points-based and linked to actions, habits and steps taken in pursuit of sustainable living.
