The annual sustainability-focused competition moves online this year

Despite the many challenges of the day, Dickinson's Center for Sustainability Education invites you to join us in this year’s EcoChallenge, an online sustainability-focused competition April 1-21, 2020!

Dickinson is taking on several other colleges and universities in a collective challenge to see who can follow through with the most behavior-centered commitments using the challenge's online platform (EcoChallenge). This year, the challenge is 100% online, offering unique opportunities for engagement during this difficult time of social distancing.

This is an opportunity for Dickinson students, faculty, staff, alumni and families to make individual commitments that contribute to making a difference in Dickinson’s year of carbon neutrality.

EcoChallenge is a fun and social way to take measurable action on the issues you care about, from wherever you are. With a few weeks of commitment, learning and action can add up to a lifetime of positive change for you, Dickinson, and the planet!

Here's how to get involved:

  • Sign up online: Register & join the “Dickinson Green Devils 2020” team.
  • Make your personal commitments.
  • Check in daily when you complete commitments.
  • Comment, challenge, engage and encourage others.
  • Challenge your friends and colleagues to join the EcoChallenge.
  • Use #dsonEcoChallenge to share your actions on social media.
  • Invite your parents, siblings or those in social isolation to join to provide positive outlets for engagement.
  • Create sub-competitions between friends or family to motivate each other.
