Dickinson College students, faculty and special guests will perform a quartet of concerts in February. All are free and open to the public. 

Guest Artists Helen Kim, Violin, and Sakiko Ohashi, Piano
Friday, Feb. 7, 7 p.m.
Rubendall Recital Hall, Weiss Center for the Arts

Guest artists Helen Kim (violin) and Sakiko Ohashi (piano) will perform works by de Falla, Janacek and Franck and will premiere a work by Dickinson Professor of Music Robert Pound.

Lyric Performance Practicum: Hansel and Gretel
Friday, Feb. 14, 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 16, 4 p.m.
Rubendall Recital Hall, Weiss Center for the Arts

The Lyric Performance Practicum presents 19th century composer Engelbert Humperdinck’s beloved German opera, Hansel and Gretel, based on the writings of the Brothers Grimm. The performance will be presented in English with a prologue.

This concert features students in Dickinson’s performance studies and chamber music programs.

Orbit of the Soul: Jonathan Hays, Baritone, and Craig Ketter, Piano
Saturday, Feb. 22, 7 p.m.
Rubendall Recital Hall, Weiss Center for the Arts

Baritone Jonathan Hays and pianist Craig Ketter perform Professor of Music Robert Pound’s critically acclaimed composition, Orbit of the Soul, commissioned to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Irish poet and playwright Oscar Wilde’s death.
