An exploration of Buddhist statuettes

Manifestation and Adaptation: Variations in Buddhist Sculpture Across Asia,” an exhibition depicting a range of Buddhist statuettes from Burma, China, Japan, Java, Korea and Thailand, will be on display at The Trout Gallery at Dickinson College, Weiss Center for the Arts, 240 W. High St., from Oct. 11 through Feb. 1, 2020. The gallery will host an opening reception on Friday, Oct. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

The opening will correspond with the Mid-Atlantic Region Association for Asian Studies Conference, taking place at Dickinson Oct. 12-13. The exhibition is curated by senior Bizz Fretty (art & art history, medieval & early modern studies), with support from East Asian studies and religion professors.
