Academic Advising and Course Selection for Incoming Students

Step #4: Course Request & Schedule Adjustment

Course Scheduling

At the end of your New Student Advising appointment, the advisor will provide you with an "Alternate Pin," the code you will need to request your courses in Dickinson's online Banner system.

The system will be open for Course Request from July 17 to 24. At that point, courses are NOT 'first-come, first-served.' After the Course Request period, the system will shut down for processing. Beginning August 14, you can adjust your schedule on a first-come, first-served basis.

The staff in the advising office will be ready to answer any questions you may have. Phones will be staffed during the New Student Advising, Course Request, and Schedule Adjustment periods.

Check out the New Student Advising Checklist and FAQ's for additional information.
