Joyce Tenneson (b. 1945) has become one of the leading photographers of her generation. Working with large-format cameras, she creates still lifes, portraits and landscapes that evoke a classic stillness and composure.

Roberts Lectures by Ingrid Rowland

Ingrid Rowland, professor of art history at the University of Notre Dame School of Architecture, will present two lectures as part of the 21st-annual Roberts Lecture Series, co-sponsored by the classical studies and art & art history departments. A frequent contributor to The New York Review of Books and author of six books and numerous articles and essays, Rowland writes and lectures on classical antiquity, the Renaissance, and the Baroque era for general and specialist audiences. She has been a fellow of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, the American Academy in Rome, the Villa I Tatti in Florence and the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles. She also is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a corresponding member of the Accademia dei Sepolti of Volterra and the Accademia degli Intronati of Siena.
