Make a Gift That Gives Back, and Keeps on Giving

This year, from National Philanthroy Day (Nov. 15) through Giving Tuesday (Dec. 2), if you make an annual or monthly recurring gift of $50 or more, you get a little something to help you keep warm this winter—an exclusive Dickinson beanie only for Dickinson donors.

How much does my gift need to be to qualify?

Donors who make a recurring gift of $50 or more per installment will qualify. The recurring gift can be set at an annual or monthly rate, and your first installment of $50 must be paid in full to receive your hat. 


Where do I need to direct my gift to qualify?

That’s up to you! You get to choose where your gift will make an impact. You can direct your gift to the area of the college that is most meaningful to you, including The Dickinson Fund, scholarships, athletics, study abroad, and so much more. 


Can I get more than one hat?

One hat will be sent per transaction. 


How long do I have to make my gift and still get a hat?

Hats are available for a limited time, and only donors who make a recurring gift through the Giving Tuesday campaign, November 17 – December 2, will qualify. The deadline is December 2 at 11:59 p.m. ET! 


What are the hats made of? What is the size?

Our Dickinson beanies are made of double-layer, rib-knit acrylic that stretches for a snug, comfortable fit. The large cuff provides extra warmth and features a faux leather patch with the Dickinson wordmark. One size fits most. 


I already have a monthly or annual recurring gift. Will I receive a hat?

If you already have an annual or monthly recurring gift, thank you! Because this is a special initiative for a limited time only, we are asking all those who wish to receive a hat to increase or make a new recurring gift during the Giving Tuesday campaign. Please contact our gift processing team at giving@dickinson.edu to make changes to your existing recurring gift. Updating your recurring gift will guarantee your elibility for a hat! 


When will I receive my hat?

Please allow 4-6 weeks for shipping. We have an amazing team of staff that will hand package and ship every hat with care! 


Is my gift tax-deductible?

Your gift to Dickinson is tax deductible to the extent permitted by current IRS guidelines. Please be advised that the charitable portion of your donation must be reduced by the fair market value of $15. If you have questions about the deductibility of your gift, please consult your tax advisor.
