NCFDD Webinar Watch Party: Overcoming Academic Perfectionism

September 10, 2026

Do you struggle to share your writing before it’s “perfect,” feel devastated by criticism, or beat yourself up when things go wrong?

Join us for an NCFDD webinar exploring why perfectionism is so common in academia, how academic culture can intensify it, and strategies for recognizing and responding to perfectionist tendencies while finding greater satisfaction every day. Watching together with colleagues provides an opportunity to share perspectives, reflect, and build more sustainable approaches to academic work. Thursday, September 10, 2:00–3:00 p.m. in CTLS (lower level of Waidner-Spahr Library). Open to all faculty and staff; no RSVP required. Snacks and drinks provided.

Hosted by the Center for Teaching, Learning, & Scholarship.
