Carys Chase-Mayoral, soprano
In her senior recital, Vocal Performance and Physics double major Carys Chase-Mayoral (soprano) will perform Familiar Stories- music of the late-Romantic period that utilizes the range of the instrument to uplift the ordinary, the quotidian, or the relatable. You will find familiar stories of cherishing childhood in “Ain’t it a Pretty Night” and “If No One Ever Marries Me,” recognize the growing pains of learning how to love in “Un bel dì, vedremo” and “Ah, Love, But a Day,” and admire the simple appreciation for a pet’s companionship in “The Monk and His Cat.”
