This semester we are reading Arsène Lupin: Gentleman-Cambrioleur by Maurice Leblanc, en français bien sur!
This is a collection of interlinked short stories about the infamous gentleman thief, Arsène Lupin, who infiltrates and charms French high society in order to steal their most precious riches. These nine tales recount Lupin's adventures from being arrested, escaping prison and finally crossing paths with the renowned English detective, Herlock Sholmès. This 1907 publication inspired the 2021 television series, Lupin, created by George Kay and François Uzan, and starring Omar Sy. Recommended for students in FREN 202 and higher levels. Light refreshments will be served.
