This semester, the FFS Book Club is reading Arsène Lupin: Gentleman-Cambrioleur by Maurice Leblanc, en français, bien sûr!
This is a collection of interlinked short stories about the infamous gentleman thief, Arsène Lupin, who infiltrates and charms French high society in order to steal their most precious riches. These nine tales recount Lupin's adventures from being arrested, escaping prison and finally crossing paths with the renowned English detective, Herlock Sholmès. This 1907 publication inspired the 2021 television series, Lupin, created by George Kay and François Uzan, and starring Omar Sy. Recommended for students at the FREN 202 level and higher.
