February 10, 2025

Marine Corps Veteran and author, Phil Klay, will visit Dickinson College to discuss the involvement of the U.S. military in wars around the globe, especially in Africa and the Middle East.

The lecture, “Citizenship in an Age of Perpetual Conflict,” will take place on Monday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Anita Tuvin Schlechter (ATS) Auditorium, 360 W. Louther St. The event is free and open to the public.

Klay, asks the question how we, as Americans, should think about our responsibility as citizens of a country so deeply involved in global warfare. As a creative writer, he also explores the role of literature in helping us better understand the stakes of the killing done in our name.
