Students, alumni, local farmers, artists, musicians and carpenters use a punk-folk-rock format to tell a tale of organic farmers, alternative energy and the challenges and triumphs of sustainability.
LIFE WASTE: A Biogas Musical is a new performative work-in-progress created by Valley Traction. It is a story about organic farmers, alternative energy, circular systems and the challenges and triumphs of sustainability, all told through the format of punk-folk-rock original songs.
This experimental production taps the talents of students past and present, along with local musicians, farmers, artists and carpenters; solar cells and biogas bladders; and a whole lot of recycling.
Admission is free. The show will be staged at the Dickinson College Farm on October 4 and 5, beginning at 7 p.m. Free biogas digester tours, along with free popcorn, will be available starting at 6 p.m.
Please note this show is made possible by the generous support of the CCLA, CSE, South Mountain Partnership, The Carlisle Tool Library and the College Farm.
While the show is free, tickets must be reserved at www.ValleyTraction.org.
