Bi-Sexual Awareness Day

September 23, 2021

Join us for Bi-Sexual Awareness Day.

Bisexuality Visibility Day was first observed on September 23rd, 1999 by the Lesbian and Gay Association in Johannesburg, South Africa. The day acknowledges and celebrates bisexual identities that would otherwise often be ignored or invalidated within the LGBTQ community. It is not uncommon for the identity to be written off as “fake” by both queer and non-queer identities.

On this day we recognize bisexual people and educate ourselves on what bisexuality really means. Everyone is invited to stop by our table on Britton Plaza [rain location in the HUB] for information, trivia, and ice cream in the colors of the bi pride flag!

If you identify as bisexual, you can join our Bisexual Mixer, a private, confidential dinner and discussion group! Please RSVP to lgbtq@dickinson.edu by Monday, September 20, in order to attend.
