Violins of Hope: Music and the Holocaust

April 8, 2021

Amy Wlodarski, professor of music, takes us on a virtual tour of the Violins of Hope exhibit – an event that she offered in person for Dickinson alumni and parents in San Francisco last year.

Based on her work as a leading expert in the field of Holocaust music, Professor Wlodarski shares rich humanistic contexts for the historical objects in order to illuminate the diverse ways in which music created meaning for Jewish performers and audiences during the genocide. Please register by Tuesday, April 6.
