Carlisle Community Action Network

November 11, 2020

Join us for a conversation with President Ensign and alumni members of CAN to discuss how Dickinson and community organizations have become a model for community action during a crisis.

Three years ago, President Margee Ensign gathered about 25 community leaders for a working breakfast, where they talked about projects affecting the community. When COVID-19 hit, the group expanded to meet fast-evolving community needs. Now nearly 100 members strong, the Community Action Network (CAN) includes representatives from a wide variety of Carlisle-area organizations working together to support the community. In July the Pennsylvania Humanities Council bestowed its 2020 Heart & Soul Hero award in recognition of CAN’s quick and effective response to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic in the Carlisle community and the exceptional interorganizational collaboration that made this good work possible. Register by Tuesday, Nov. 10.
