Rick Smolan ’72 will share the unforgettable story of a young girl, a fateful photograph and an adoption saga with a twist.
In Rick’s own words: “While I was in Korea, shooting a story for Time magazine about Amerasian children (kids fathered by American GIs around the world and then abandoned), I was left an 11-year-old girl by her dying grandmother who had raised her. At the time I was 28, not married, living out of hotels 11 months of the year and basically self-centered and immature.” You must hear this fascinating story! Please register by Sunday, Oct. 4. The Zoom access link will be sent to registrants the morning of the presentation.
