‘Causeways’ exhibition delves into memory with markers, pencils and other mixed media

Dickinson will host an opening reception exhibiting work developed by alumna Carley Zarzeka ’15, the Department of Art & Art History 2015-16 post-baccalaureate artist-in-residence. The reception is Tuesday, March 8, at 5:30 p.m. in the Goodyear Gallery.

The exhibition will feature mixed-media works on paper, which include watercolor, ink, pastel, graphite, markers and colored pencils, developed during her residency. Titled “Causeways,” the driving theme behind her exhibition is a personal exploration of space in connection to memory, along with an investigation of mapping void of direction.

The exhibition runs March 8 through April 1. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m.
