Designing the Day

made-to-order student visits.

by Lauren Davidson

More than 40 admitted students plus family members spent the day integrated into the Dickinson community (though easily identifiable with their red folders) on Wednesday, April 3, for the first of three Made-to-Order (MTO) programs. The students created their own personalized schedule for the day by selecting from almost 200 class options, 40-plus opportunities to meet with specific faculty members, two tour structures and several other distinctive ways to explore campus.

The program comes on the heels of some of the highest visit volume Dickinson has seen, with 626 families spending time on campus during the last two weeks. Admissions also welcomed 11 special high-school or community-based tour groups traveling from New York, California and places in between. Whether just exploring college options or making final enrollment decisions, students and families are taking advantage of opportunities to spend time on campus to determine how Dickinson fits their goals. Upcoming programs for admitted students include two additional MTO programs April 10 and 17, plus a Preview Day April 13. Registration is available through the Applicant Portal.
