Dickinson will observe National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, Sept. 15, with a voter registration event and celebration, providing college community members a chance to register to vote while enjoying music and refreshments. The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Britton Plaza outside the Holland Union Building.
“National Voter Registration Day helps ensure students have the information and resources they need to participate in the democratic process,” said Laura Megivern, director of global and national partnerships and programs at Dickinson’s Center for Civic Learning & Action. “Whether students are voting for the first time or continuing a lifelong habit of engagement, we are proud to support their active involvement in shaping the future of their communities and our nation.”
Members of the campus group Dickinson Votes will be available to help students register to vote and get answers to questions about local elections, voting by mail and other election-related issues.
