Lacrosse to face Middlebury College in the first round, while McMahon-Shea joins 225 golfers to compete in Florida

The Dickinson men's lacrosse team will take its postseason run to the national stage after earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament. The Red Devils' season ended on the wrong side of a 13-12 overtime decision against rival Gettysburg College in the Centennial Conference championship game Saturday, but the committee rewarded what has been a strong year with a spot in the bracket.

Dickinson will open play Saturday, May 10, against Middlebury College (8-7) at Bello Field on the campus of top-ranked Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. The Red Devils are part of a four-team pod hosted by the two-time defending national champions, the Tufts Jumbos (17-1), who will face the winner of a Wednesday play-in game between undefeated Rivier University (18-0) and Rhodes College (12-6).

Full schedule details, ticket information and streaming options will be available in the coming days at dickinsonathletics.com and on the official Red Devils social media channels.

McMahon-Shea Returns to NCAAs for Second Straight Year

For the second consecutive year, Collin McMahon-Shea '26 will represent Dickinson men's golf at the NCAA Division III Championship. The senior earned one of 10 individual qualifying spots for the event, which runs May 12-15 at Mission Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Oglethorpe University and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission are co-hosting.

The Lexington, Massachusetts, native arrives having won the Centennial Conference individual title last weekend with a record-setting score of 208 (-8). The Centennial Conference also named him its Athlete of the Year. On the season he has won four tournaments and finished in the top three four additional times, averaging 70.7 strokes per round to rank 24th nationally and first in the region.

At the championship, McMahon-Shea will join a field of 43 teams and 10 individuals—225 competitors in all—for a 72-hole stroke play event. First- and second-round play will be split across the El Campeon and Las Colinas courses simultaneously, with the final two rounds contested on El Campeon. After 36 holes, the field will be cut to the top 18 teams and the top six individuals not on one of those teams.
