Dickinson has prepared me for life after graduation in every way I can imagine. I've grown up here and created a future for myself as a result of my incredible professors, friends, teammates and family. Every step of the way has been challenging, yet so rewarding. I cannot thank Dickinson enough for educating me across a diverse range of topics, and I have learned so much that I will take into life.

How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?
Dickinson has prepared me both academically and socially for life after graduation. Having a liberal-arts education going into the sciences is so valuable, given how interdisciplinary the field is, allowing me to approach my work from a well-rounded perspective. Dickinson has taught me how to interact with people of different backgrounds and opinions, while also preparing me for a career in marine science, despite being in a land-locked state. I'm a D3 athlete with a double B.S. in biology and environmental science who also studied abroad for a year, and Dickinson has showed me that the sky's the limit, and with support of my peers and professors, I can be successful in whatever I put my mind to. I am looking forward to joining a rich network of Dickinson alumni!
Internship Experience
Dickinson has provided me with excellent mentors and has expanded my worldview by allowing me to take a variety of classes outside my major. Supplementing my biology degree with other humanities courses will allow me to be a more well-rounded genetic counselor.
