“I wanted to attend an institution where my interests are not only valued but also encouraged and expanded.” —Kat Johnson ’25
As a middle-schooler, Kat Johnson '25 took part in a SEEDS enrichment program for high-achieving, under-resourced students and was awarded a four-year scholarship to Moorestown Friends high school. At age 16, she was bestowed the highly competitive Girl Scout Award, recognizing excellence in her project related to composting. As a Presidential Scholar at Dickinson, she's building the skills and experiences it takes to make a difference through a career in public health. Her undergrad experiences include a high-skill internship at Volvo CE, several service trips, two study-abroad adventures, a group project on food insecurity in the local community and an internship as a student-mentor with the SEEDS organization.
