How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?
I think Dickinson has prepared me well for life after graduation, particularly as a graduate student. The academics at Dickinson are top-tier, with engaged, active and passionate professors there to guide you every step of the way. My relationships with professors, faculty and staff are what I think I will remember and cherish most about my Dickinson experience. The people I have met here have helped me grow into the person I am today and hope to be in the future, after Dickinson. Not only have my academics prepared me for a graduate program, but Dickinson has also taught me how to be a global citizen. Going to graduate school out of the country is a bit nerve racking, but I am so excited to share my knowledge, passions and companionship with other international scholars looking to better their worlds. I am particularly looking forward to taking my Dickinson education and experience with me everywhere I go, especially on a global scale. I think my two study abroad experiences have particularly prepared me well for this as well; studying for a semester in England and participating in a two-week Mosaic program to the Netherlands were some of the best times I have ever had in my life.

Studying abroad in Spain, Ecuador and Argentina had a big impact on my Dickinson experience and on myself as a person.

What are some of the defining moments of your Dickinson experience?
Connecting with the professors in the Department of Philosophy has made my Dickinson experience. The level of care they have for their students is incomparable to that of many other departments. Going to office hours and talking at length with my philosophy professors have been among the best memories I have at Dickinson.

What are some of the defining moments of your Dickinson experience?
Working together with Charles A. Dana Professor of Theatre Karen Kirkham to improve my personal theatrical performance and the performances of others. Seeing my ideas come to life on the stage was a great thing to witness, and it has helped my confidence in my work. Additionally, my involvement in the Department of Anthropology had a significant impact on my personal perspectives. One of my absolute favorite classes was with Professor of Anthropology Karen Weinstein, Contesting Biological Normalcy, and I still think about our class discussions to this day.
