There was plenty to savor on campus this spring, as Dickinson’s Dining Services rolled out a full schedule of special events—and a handy new app—that juiced up the college’s multifaceted dining offerings.

In addition to kosher, vegan, vegetarian and other daily specialties that Dickinson offers each day along with traditional fare, Dining Services added new flavors to the mix through a variety of special dining events.

February brought a Valentine’s Day dinner, a Mardi Gras fest and a Tex-Mex dinner bar. The stars of Valentine’s Day were freshly made chocolate-covered strawberries, hand-dipped by staff in the wee hours of that very morning.

Dickinson banished winter blahs with a March 7 “Fruit Explosion” that brought an abundance of colorful fresh produce center stage. Asian cuisine entered the spotlight during the March 23 Wok Up stir-fry extravaganza.

Red and White Day at Dickinson, April 15, was a campuswide toast to the Red Devils. Dining Services ramped up the excitement with a fun themed picnic. The semester closed with an old-fashioned clam boil on April 29 and a grand-scale charcuterie on May 11 that, rumor has it, inspired a response of “Miam-miam!” (“Yum-yum”!)
