Red Devils basketball head coach honored after comeback season

After leading Red Devils basketball out of a tough 2020-21 season that saw the squad go 4-21, Head Men's Basketball Coach Alan Seretti has been named 2022 Centennial Conference (CC) Coach of the Year.

Entering the 2022 season, the Red Devils were picked as the ninth-place team in the preseason poll. After a solid 3-3 start, Seretti and the Red Devils hit a losing streak before bouncing back with six consecutive wins. That streak included victories over then No. 11 Swarthmore, 52-48, and conference playoff contender Gettysburg, 69-60. A 63-57 win at Haverford on the final day of the regular season secured the Red Devils a No. 4 seed and a 10-8 record in conference play.

Over his time in Carlisle, Seretti has amassed a 171-148 record, with two CC titles.

"I could not be happier for Alan—he, along with his staff, brought this program together to play some outstanding basketball down the stretch,” says Director of Athletics Joel Quattrone. “While I’m always proud of how he coaches the kids on the floor, it’s the connection he builds with the young men off the court. His genuine care and concern for their entire well-being, to make them better people, is what truly makes Coach Seretti so special."
