On Saturday, Oct. 23, Dickinson welcomed 500 prospective students and family members to campus for a day of learning about the college and exploring the campus.

The morning began with breakfast and mingling with current students and admissions counselors before heading out to either tour the campus with a member of the Liberty Cap Society or hear from Vice President for Enrollment Management Catherine McDonald Davenport ’87 and interim President John E. Jones III ’77, P’11.

Afterward, current students offered insight into their Dickinson experiences through panel discussions. Following the panels, faculty members reflected on Dickinson’s approach to education and discussed the various majors and opportunities available academically.

Other aspects of the day included learning more about the admissions process and financial aid. Additionally, families could explore the Trout Gallery, browse the Dickinson College Bookstore and chat with members of the community to learn more about resources and opportunities.

Families were also encouraged to stop by the football game against Franklin & Marshall College. Dating back to 1963, what is now known as the Wagon Game pits the Red Devils against the Diplomats in a competitive match in hopes of taking home the coveted trophy. Not only could prospective families watch the game, but they also had access to the tailgate field, raffles and giveaways.

Dickinson's next open house is on Saturday, Nov. 13.
